30-day ASIAN DRAMA CHALLENGE DAY 25: Drama character you’d actually want to date (not just lust over)

Sung Sun Woo is just the type of guy every woman can bring home to mom. A filial and dependable son to his deceased dad and to his widowed mom, a reliable oppa to little Jinjoo (he loves kids!), a great friend to his Ssangmundong crew (the only normal guy among the bunch as Deoksun would describe him in the drama), a model student who worked his way into becoming a doctor through hard work and scholarships and of course, the one who fought hard to win a noona’s (not just any noona but the bitchy one everyone in the neighborhood is scared of) love.

Among the drama characters I have met (and there’s a lot of them), no one comes close to being real as Sun Woo. He is as real as it gets. I can actually say there’s someone out there, in the real world, who is just like him and I know I would be proven right.

He’s a person we know somewhere, somehow. The good son, the diligent student who came from a single-parent household who was struggling to make ends meet, the medical student who made his way through medical school with sheer guts and brains, the friend everyone in school was crushing on in high school because he was cute and smart and simply nice. Sun Woo just fits the bill of the quintessential good guy in real life.

And did I say he’s got a cool head, too? He feels deeply but he doesn’t let his emotions get the better of him. He’s reasonable and sensible. Now, that sounds like a reliable man to me.

I could actually see myself falling for him if I were to meet him for real. I would gladly be his Bora. A doctor who cares deeply and loves unconditionally. That would be swell. He will really be my rainbow after every rain.

Sun Woo is not just one to date, but for keeps.

  1. Hi chingu ah~ I read your drama challenge posts and I’m surprised that we have same taste 😀 I love Sun Woo-Bo Ra in Reply88, and Sung Si Won in Rep97 and Yoon Myung Joo in DOTS. All my favourite. And Signal too, along with Misaeng, it’s one of the best non-romance dramas to me.
Plus, your writing is so good. Keep writing more ~ 🙂

    • Hey 🙂 Thank you for dropping by and taking the time to comment! 🙂 I will take note of Misaeng 🙂 will check it out soon!
